Lav icons not showing up in windows 10
Having some troubles with an (sequence) image player from a 3d package (houdini), and I cant export to Quicktime H264 whereas I've had no issues previously. And what's really strange is that the same sequence of images can export without fail from another computer. That said, I did notice on the system that's having troubles exporting DO NOT have the LAV icons in the system tray...
What gives? I should see both of if them ... and I have a latest full pack installed (multiple tried as well)
Also both systems can export using MPEG-4... Strange, huh?
Anyway, I'd love to see two LAV icons in the system tray. I'm thinking that upon export to make a movie file from an image sequence, that LAV filters are not being recognized.
Both Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 (but slightly different builds)

Re: Lav icons not showing up in windows 10
LAV only does decoding. So if you are missing export options, it is likely caused by something else.
You need to install QuickTime. In case you already have that installed, then check which version you have on the other computer. The latest versions (7.7.x) of QuickTime have some compatibility issues in some cases. So try an older version of QuickTime. I have seen people having success with version 7.6.5 when newer ones had problems.

Grateful thanks. I'll try the lower version.
Both systems (had) have 7.7.9 when I did my exports tests, but for sure I'll try 7.6.5.
Also wanted to make sure that QT installation and LAV installs are mutually exclusive. ...that is to say, that I can install in any order I want. (they are, afain)

Re: Lav icons not showing up in windows 10
QT and DirectShow filters like LAV don't have any effect on each other.
