ass subtitles
I am seeing a lot of Matroska files with ass subtitles. I have to turn them on manually. (Play/Subtitle) Is there a setting in MPC that will auto load an ass subtitle when the video starts??

Re: ass subtitles
During installation of the codec pack there is a page where you can specify your preferred languages. There is also an option to show subtitles when audio is in your primary language. Enable that.
Re: ass subtitles
I have done that but it will show every other type of subtitle (embedded, SRT, SUB) automatically when the video starts to play. However if the "embedded sub file is ASS I have to go in and manually select it to get it to display.
I have observed that VLC will not auto load ASS either.

Re: ass subtitles
Subtitles are shown by default if they match your preferred language(s), or if they have the "default" flag set.
Right-click on one of those files in Explorer and click on MediaInfo in the contextmenu. That shows details about the file. Copy that here. Then I should be able to advice on how to configure to select it automatically.

Re: ass subtitles
This should solve it:
In the settings of LAV Splitter you have a line where you can configure which track is selected.
Add this to the end of the current value: ",*:und" (without the quotes)

Re: ass subtitles
