the new mpc mega player nto support subtitles

i have noticed that when trying to add subtiles to a video the player stop immediately. how to fix this

MPC-HC options > Playback > Output

Select a video renderer that is compatible with subtitles (such as EVR Custom presenter), and also select the Internal Subtitle Renderer.

Why do we need to modify settings yet in the older versions was playing ok

It should use correct settings by default. The installer normally only selects a different renderer if some kind of graphics driver issue happened during installation.
