Installing Codecs ONLY - No extra software or decoders

I want to install the K-Lite Mega Pack, but I only want the codecs themselves. I do not need or want the extra software. I just want the codecs to work with Windows 10 64-bit, Office 2010 64-bit, Windows Movies and TV, Windows Media Player, and Groove Music. Can somebody please give me step-by-step instructions on how to do this, please?

You should use the BASIC variant of the codec pack. That contains only the essential codecs for playback, exactly what you want.

WMP is capable of using the codecs from K-Lite. Office also. Movies&TV and Groove only use the codecs from Windows itself.
