K-Lite 14.5.0 Problem

Hello! Updated from K-Lite Full 14.4.0 to K-Lite Full 14.5.0. There was a problem when playing at a higher speed(increase rate): The sound periodically disappears.

Can you give a link to a file that has this problem? A torrent is fine too.

Lags occur on any file (tested on several mp4 1280x720).
P.S. There is no problem on version 14.4.0.

It works correctly here. Are you playing at 2x speed or some other value?

Perhaps it is just a performance issue on your system. How high is the CPU usage? Is hardware acceleration enabled in the video decoder?

Are you using the default audio renderer, or the internal audio renderer? (options > playback > output)

On version 14.4.0, there are no lags, even at a speed of 2x (CPU utilization is around 35%).
On version 14.5.0, lags start already at a speed of ~ 1.25x (did not check at a lower speed)
Settings do not change.

I am unable to reproduce the problem, which means I can't fix it.

Try the internal audio renderer in options > playback > output.

Updated to 14.7.5, the problem remains.
It seems the problem is observed only when playing 60fps video.
P.S. As I said earlier, there is no problem on version 14.4.0

I can reproduce it with a heavy UltraHD file at 100+ fps. But it also happens with 14.4.0.

It seems to be a performance issue, rather than a real bug.

MediaInfo:

1. Version 14.4.0 Full. The problem is not observed at speeds up to x4 (FPS 230-244).
2. Version 14.7.5 Full. The problem arises already at x1.25 (strong lags up to a short computer hang).

Please report if you encounter any playback problems

Maybe the problem has arisen because of these changes?

Problem solved by setting the "Decoding Method" parameter to "Use software decoding"

Hardware decoding has its limits with regard to how fast it can decode. Depends on the hardware, video format and resolution.
