Bing is forced as the default search engine on my web browser after install Empty Bing is forced as the default search engine on my web browser after install

Hi there !
The codecs itselft work perfectly.
However, Bing is forced as the default search engine on my web browser after installation.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled carefully but haven't found any checkbox to remove this option.
If you could enlighten my about this, I would be quite happy, since I am strongly concern about software installing phishy side app (like Web Companion).

Anyhow, thank you in advance for you answer !

During the first install you may get an offer for Web Companion. This offer page is shown near the end of the installation wizard, with accept and decline buttons. If you click accept, then Web Companion will be installed. That app is responsible for changing the search engine. You can uninstall it through the Windows Control Panel, just as any other software. If it doesn't revert the search engine automatically, then you can do it in the browser settings.

I can recommend this tool to help protect against unwanted offers:
https://unchecky.com/

I case of K-Lite you can hide offers forever with this Registry tweak:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KLCP]
"NoOffers"=dword:00000001
