What is the problem with the main page at the web site. It is not showing the latest updates. It still shows that K-Lite Codec Pack 14.1.5 from May 2, 2018 is the latest version available. If you go to the download page it will give you a link to 14.2.0.
In all the years I have been coming here I have never seen that before. Please advise.

Re: www.codecguide.com/
that is fine and dandy but I would like to point out that on the home web page the second item on that page is:
News
K-Lite Codec Pack 14.1.5 and 13.8.4
Thursday May 31st 2018
and 4 lines below that it states the following:
K-Lite Codec Pack 14.1.5
Wednesday May 2nd 2018
A new version of the codec pack has been released.
No where on this page does it indicate that 14.2.0 is available.

Re: www.codecguide.com/
I return ...
... well,
this is weird ...
doing a general internet browser search for "K-Lite Codec Pack 13.8.3", just turned up - this page
https://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_basic.htm
which has this reference :
"Windows XP is not supported anymore. XP users should use version 13.8.4 of the codec pack. Download link for that is at bottom of this page."
- which has :
Windows XP
The last version that is compatible with Windows XP SP3 is version 13.8.4:
Version 13.8.4 Basic ~ 17.5 MB ~ May 31st 2018
Type: Location: Hosted By:
HTTP Mirror 1 Codec Guide
HTTP Mirror 2 Codec Guide
torrent
Filename: K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1384_Basic.exe
Size: 17955 KB
MD5: 41918a1cb05bbcece11249b13089284e
SHA256: 321482ee9e848140b67a286bd44bb7da070dad03f0b74f3e2be2951a7fa12de8
Old versions
Download links for old versions of the K-Lite Codec Pack can be found HERE.
the HERE LINK goes to:
https://codecguide.com/download_kl_old.htm
Which DOES have many of the older K-L packs ,
BUT ONLY for the BASIC, STANDARD and FULL releases...
WHAT has happened to all the early MEGA pack releases ??
I do still have a copy of 13.8.2 Mega installer,
But IF I try to load the 13.8.4 Full pack over top of the 13.8.2 mega it wants to uninstall the Mega Pack extras , not update it ...
PS
Just out of curiosity, went back to the Downloads Page again,
https://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
hit the "Download Mega" link,
which has same message as above ...
BUT this time the HERE link goes to :
https://codecguide.com/download_mega_old.htm
which DOES have all the "NEW" older MEGA packs ...
Perhaps it would be a good idea to unify ALL the "OLD" packs so it also includes the Mega as well as the Basic, Standard and Full under One page ...
AND, Also place an entry on the Main Menu for Older Pack Downloads .
or to also make it simpler
where the " special mention update " - There also is an updated version (13.8.4) specifically for XP users <== turn that into a HOT link ...
it has only taken half my afternoon to find the proper download links ...

Re: www.codecguide.com/
The download page of the Basic variant obviously does not contain links for the Mega variant. Everything is logical if you just go through the normal download page. The pages have been updated with links to the different variants to make navigation easier when entering the website through a random search result.
Re: www.codecguide.com/
okay ! ,
this is a LOT more logical having an option to get to the older downloads directly off the normal download pages.
if ever needing more fossil files, much easier to find now.
THANKS.
PS
might need to update the "update" page to reflect the current XP - 13.8.4 ,
and perhaps hot link it back to the normal download page ?

Re: www.codecguide.com/
Also, keep in mind that there's a server side page cache that doesn't update too often(I'd guess once per few hours), you sometimes have to wait for the proper new download links to appear.
