MPC with MadVR for 4:4:4 4K to 1080p viewing
Hi there
I hope you guys are well. I have a 1080p display and from what I've read is that it is possible to get full chroma 10bit 4:4:4 from a 4:2:0 4K source when downscaling it to 1080p.
How do I configure MPC with MadVR to view 4K content this way given that the content is HDR as well so there will also have to be some tonemapping?
Thank you so much!

The conversion from HDR to SDR is done automatically by Madvr. There are some options to customize how it performs the tone mapping. Just try with defaults first.
To improve quality, you can adjust the image downscaling algorithm in Madvr settings. I recommend Jinc or SSIM 1D, depending on how powerful your GPU is.
