Videos in Browsers Get "Tinted"
Hello,
I have been using K-Lite Codec Pack for years now and I am on the latest one (as well as the drivers being so) with a problem persisting for some time now.
I have come across with the problem with several video players used on webpages only ranging from Youtube, Twitch to some other streaming websites so that led me to think that it might be related to codecs installed on my Windows 10 x64 OS that has a dual GPU config of Intel HD 530 and Nvidia GTX 970M.
The problem is that the videos get tinted with a transparent shade of gray which comes into effect as soon as the video controls are naturally hidden after waiting for some time, or sometimes after going fullscreen. The tint is removed and video reverts back to its original colours as soon as you move the mouse or touch a key that brings up controls/pauses video etc.
Please watch the screen record I just made via PowerPoint below:
And below is the installed codecs log.
Help would be much appreciated, thanks:

Re: Videos in Browsers Get "Tinted"
Video playback in your browser actually does not use anything from the codec pack. Depending on the problem and video format, it uses an internal decoder or a decoder from Microsoft.
This does not seem to be a decoding problem, but a bug in the browser, or an issue with the driver configuration.
Things that you can try:
1) Clear Internet history and cache
2) NVIDIA control panel > Adjust Desktop Color settings > "Content Type Reported to the Display" > change from "Auto-select (recommended)" to "Desktop programs" (this option is only visible for certain types of screens)
3) NVIDIA control panel > Adjust video color settings > With nvidia settings > Advanced > Dynamic range = Full
4) NVIDIA control panel > Manage 3D settings > Change which GPU is used by your browser
5) Disable hardware acceleration in your browser settings

I wonder why I never tried specifically that one. Designating Nvidia GPU for the browser seemed to have solved the problem.
Thank you for the nudge I needed.
