conflict with windows defender

hi I noticed that the video is slow to slow down by itself and you need to close and reopen the video, but by removing the protection with windows defender the video proceeds smoothly, is there any bugs with windows defender?

Did you perhaps install nvidia 391.01 driver? That causes problems.

I am not aware of any issues with Windows Defender, but I don't use it myself. When did the problem start?

I have had this problem for a few months

Thanks, for now I have disabled windows defender, it seems a conflict between defender and mpc / k lite codec pack

Not really a conflict, just Defender reducing system performance. Not everyone is having this problem, so it should be solvable. The links I gave discuss various causes and solutions.
