Before all , i will say thanx because mpc hc work great with 4k movies,i was trying to do it with vlc,but never worked.

Now,im new at all this thing and i have some problems.

So,my computer HDMI is connected to my TV LG OLED 55B6V.   She is HDR ready and other things .... hdcp 2.2 bla bla bla.   Im connected with Nvidia Panel AT 12 bits 24hZ and its work.
I have YAMAHA YSP 2500 connected in HDMI for surround.

-  When i Start movies,sometimes SURROUND appear on my yamaha,sometimes yes,sometimes no.
Im trying to know why.
- Im trying to appear HD too on my yamaha but never worked.


And now,my mpc hc have madvr,i try it one times with a hdr movies ( King.Arthur.Legend.of.the.Sword.2017.2160p.UHD.BLURAY.REMUX.HDR.HEVC.Multi.VFF.TrueHD.Atmos-tlub) but is very DARK.

Change audio track => True hd doesnt work,no sound on my sound bar.
DTS HD MA 5.1  => Sound and SURR appear on my sound bar but its writed DTS et non DTS HD.
AC3 5.1   => Dolby digital   SURR appear ...

Im trying to DTS HD (with SURR  /  HD appear on sound bar ...)


In audio Decoder i dont know what i have to do,like put on all in Bitstreaming SPDIF HDMI and in mixer, if i have to put output speaker configuration in stereo or 5.1 ....


This things is for sound,after its resolved,i will speak with you about MAD VR.

For HDR output you need to use Madvr as video renderer:
MPC-HC options > Playback > Output

I am not sure if your sound bar supports Atmos. Probably only standard TrueHD. In that case you need to disable bitstreaming for TrueHD.

Set your speaker configuration to 7.1. This is only used for formats that are not bitstreamed but are decoded on the computer.

I did it hdr output,but its so dark,i see very not ....
True hd is atmos ? Because my sound bar doesnt support atmos but 5.1/7.1 dts hd and other .....

Who decoder the sound ? Computer or sound bar ? What is the best ?

Atmos is an extension for TrueHD. So there exists TrueHD tracks with and without Atmos.

I have no opinion on what is best at decoding. Just compare it yourself and decide.
You can adjust the audio settings very easily with the Codec Tweak Tool.

If video is still dark, then HDR is not working correctly. You should install the latest version of the NVIDIA driver, because HDR was broken with older recent drivers.

How know who decode,computer or sound bar ?
I guess some movies are true hd without extension atmos but doesnt work

If bitstreaming is enabled, then the sound bar will decode the audio. Otherwise the computer decodes it and sends uncompressed (PCM) audio to sound bar.
