No longer seeing extended MKV properties in File Mgr after Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
Since installing the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (64-bit) last week I can no longer see the extended properties provided by the K-Lite Codec Pack in the Details pane of Windows Explorer file manager. I have tried updating K-Lite (Mega) to latest version 13.6.0, rebooting my computer, but nothing makes the details (such as audio streams, subtitles and chapters) appear like they used to for Matroska (and, I suppose, some other) media files.
Does anybody know what's blocking the extended media properties (which showed in file explorer's Details pane perfectly well through all versions of Windows 10 until now)?

The Fall Update has reset the propertyhandler to the default one of Windows, which shows less details.
Re-installing the pack should fix it.

I have reinstalled it (actually, I updated it to the latest version). I thought I kept all the same defaults that I've always used in the past during the installation.Admin wrote:The Fall Update has reset the propertyhandler to the default one of Windows, which shows less details.

That did not fix it, though. Is there a specific setting (say, in the Tweak Tool) I can check to make sure the pack is using its property handlers and not the Widows defaults?

UPDATE:
I think I've figured it out. I went into "Various Tweaks" in the Tweak Tool and found that I had to un-check the option to use Icarus Property Handler, save the changes, then run the Tweak Tool again and re-choose the Icarus Handler before the changes showed up in the file explorer.
Regards.

The PropertyHandler is currently not re-registered when updating. Next version will do that automatically when it detects that Windows 10 has been updated.

Thanks. That will be helpful.Admin wrote:The PropertyHandler is currently not re-registered when updating. Next version will do that automatically when it detects that Windows 10 has been updated.
