MPC-HC won't open any files since update 1.7.13

Hi Guys,
Hope anybody here can help me.

Since I installed MPC-HC v 1.7.13 (included in Mega Pack 13.3.5), the player won't open any files anymore. It hangs when opening video and audio files and can't seem to load any filters.
If I reinstall MPC-HC v 1.7.11, everything works fine, even with the updated LAV and MadVR filters.
I've tried things like updating my graphics drivers and disabling Norton Antivirus, but no dice.

I got other PC with Windows 7 installed and quite the same configuration and the player works just fine on it with the new updates.

Yes, version 13.3.3 works fine.
If I try to update to 13.3.5 or any later version, MPC-HC won't work. When I try to open any file, it keeps running and nothing happens.
With the latest Media Player versions, if I even try to enter the options, the program will freeze.
It's really weird. I have another PC running on Windows 7 and the latest codec packs work properly on it.

If you copy mpc-hc64.exe from 13.3.3 and replace the one from 13.3.5, does it still work?
If you adjust install settings to install both x86 and x64 MPC-HC, does the x86 work in 13.3.5?

Something on your computer must be interfering. But there haven't been any big changes to MPC-HC between those versions, so it is very weird.

I've already copied mpc-hc64.exe from v. 13.3.3 to v. 13.3.7 and, yes, that works fine. It's my workaround solution.
As for the x86 MPC-HC, it also doesn't work in 13.3.5.
I'm sure something in my machine is interfering with MPC-HC, but I've tried almost everything to no avail.

Does it work if you only double-click on the .exe without opening any file? Just open options.
Does it work if you rename the .exe to for example test.exe? (manually open a file, as file associations will not work then)

Sorry for my late response. I wasn't on my computer...
And, yes, if I double-click on the .exe from version 13.3.5+, the program opens, I'm able to access options, but when I click on "output", the program hangs.
I renamed the .exe to test.exe as you suggested. Then, I tried to open a file manually and it doesn't work either. After trying to open a file like that, the program won't even let me open "options".
It's really puzzling since MPC-HC from version 13.3.3 runs with no problems. I only have to replace the .exe.

I tested it and it also doesn't work.
If I replace MPC-HC .exe with the old one from v. 13.3.3, it works.

Start the player (no file).
In process explorer, right-click on mpc-hc > properties > threads
open the settings in mpc-hc
make a screenshot of the threads screen, click on stack button (select main mpc-hc thread) and also make a screenshot

Maybe this reveals any clues, because I have absolutely no idea what causes your problem. There are not really any functional changes between the working and broken version. The output page in options doesn't do much, except for enumerating the audio renderers. But a fault with that should happen with all versions.

Here you go:

The first stack looks normal. That is the GUI waiting for user input.

The second one is suspicious. The file wslbscrwh64.dll belong to a security tool from Sophos, which I think is used by your banking software? See if you can temporarily disable or uninstall that to see if that is the cause.

The IDMShellExt64.dll thread is also not something that is standard. That file belongs to Internet Download Manager. So that is also something to investigate as a possible cause.

Yes, you got it. My internet banking protection software was interfering with MPC-HC. I uninstalled it and the player now works fine.
I will only use internet banking on my iPad now.
