hello i have an lg 360 degree camera and installed the software and klite mega codec as instructed onto my dell laptop windows 7 64 bit at least i think i installed correctly. when i transfer my videos from my lg 360 camera to my laptop and load them into the lg viewer program it renders the videos but i only have a black screen with sound no picture.

im confused and feel something is not set correctly

I have everything installed on my little nextbook with windows 8 32 bit and it runs perfect aside from being slow.

can someone please help me out i called and did live chat with lg support and they do not know anything there. it is frustrating i know its got to be something simple im missing

I upgraded my laptop so that i can process 360 degree videos faster for my business and its not working. I have a second 360 camera panoview and uses symax360 camera viewer and that works just fine on this same laptop. So im at a total loss with my lg 360 camera and its software and codec pack. I really appreciate the help thanks again.

The raw video decodes correctly.
The processed video is also a valid file. Apart from the black video of course.

I have tried the LG360 Cam Viewer application and I get the same results. The processed file only has black video. The application uses the x264VFW codec from the pack to encode the video. The encoding settings that they use are sane, so that should not be the problem. I think the problem is somewhere in the processing that they do when stitching video together.

I found a report from someone who has the same problem with the latest version of the Cam Viewer application (v1.0.52.0) but not with an older version (v1.0.37.0?). So that is something that you could try. I could not find the older version online, but maybe you have an older version of an install CD that came with the camera.

thanks for the help this is really disappointing i do not have a disk with an older version im trying to search for an older version now please let me know if you have any luck and i will do the same thanks

Perhaps your other computer has the older version? If so, you could try copying its files.
