Firefox video MSE & H.264 codecs not supported
Hi there,
I'm using Windows 10 N at the moment and as the title says,
seems like firefox do not support these specific codecs since I'm missing the Windows Media Feature pack by default.
Please note that I'm not an expert regarding this stuff, but I thought by downloading the k-lite pack, I would have been enabled to see those format without problems.
Am I missing something? Maybe I misunderstood how the codecs works?
I would rather avoid to download the Media pack from MS.
Thanks in advance

There are different types of codecs. The one in the codec pack is of DirectShow type. Firefox is only capable of using the Media Foundation type decoder from Microsoft. So yes, unfortunately, you need the Media Feature pack from Microsoft.
