MPC-HC(x64) and LAV Audio Clipping Protection Crash
I can't seem to find other threads with this issues, but I've seen it across different setups every time for at least a year now. I install the most up to date Mega codec pack, ticking all the bitstreaming boxes for my HD receiver during install and install audio codecs for LAV only. When I go into MPC-HC and go to options, Internal filters, and click on audio decoder under internal Lav settings, in the second tab it offers you the choice of turning off clipping protection, which is tick marked already. When I hit apply or okay, MPC-HC crashes with an access violation and the module pointing to LAV audio as the cause. No way around it, and happens on many different release versions I've tried (everyone actually).
When I uninstall K-lite codec pack completely, and just install the latest stable build of MPC-HC(x64), and repeat the same procedure above, I can enable and disable the tick mark for clipping protection without any crash or error.
Again, I'm using the latest builds, the latest NVIDIA drivers for my 980 ti on Win 10. Adjusted the sound settings in control panel correctly to enable 5.1/7.1 audio and 24/48 or 24/96 audio, it never crashes on a standalone MPC-hc installs, and always crashes adjusting the clipping protection using the version in the K-lite mega pack. Thanks!

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem yet. Does it also happen if you access the LAV Audio decoder settings through the Start menu shortcut?

I know it's an old thread, but I've actually reproduced the problem, LAV Audio configuration tool crashes on a clean first time install after doing apply/ok after just entering Mixing page.
The (buggy) Mixing page looks like that:
Take note Output Speaker Configuration is empty. Setting actual value there fixes the issue.

Your screenshot is very helpful, thanks. I just need to figure out why the speaker config value was empty. It should normally have a value set even on a clean install.
Which speaker config did you select during installation of the codec pack?
