Windows power plan changing after run videos in MPC-HC.
Hi,
I’m using K_Lite Codec Pack 12.9.4 Mega (MPC-HC 1.7.10.290) on Windows 10.
When I'm running videos on MPC-HC my power plan changes from balanced to high performance and back to balanced when I close MPC-HC. Is there any way to turn off auto changing power plan?
I run videos on Windows Media Player and it dosen't change plan when playing videos so I think is some kind of MPC-HCs feature.
I'm using laptop so the main reason for this is to don’t hear fans. I change LAV filter options to use DXVA2 instead of CUVID because it make my GPU to run on higher clocks and from visibly point of view it look very similar to me.
Best regards

CUVID causes the GPU to go into high performance mode. That is controlled by the NVIDIA driver. It is recommended to use DXVA2 instead. There is no difference in quality.

Is any known cause of changing windows power plans by MPC-HC?

I don't know. MPC-HC itself doesn't do it. Do you also have an active Intel GPU in your laptop?

No, I use asus g750jh it has disabled pernamently intel gpu.
I think it is windows ~10 feature because it changes plan while I play Battlefiled 4 too. So this thread could be close. Thanks for answare.
