Can't View Alaris Wee Cam Videos
I just downloaded the K-lite basic codec 12.9 - I had to go to another site to download the s/w. I also can't find the file to update to 12.9.4. I created a number of family videos in the mid 2000's using the Alaris Wee Cam Video recorder. They worked fine on Windows ME and 7, but I have been unable to get them to work in Windows 10 (version 1607). I'm using an HP G6 notebook with 8 gb RAM, AMD 64 bit, 750 gb hard drive. Any help will be very appreciated since these videos are very important to me. Thank you!

Downloads are available here:
http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
Right-click on the file and choose MediaInfo. Copy that information here so I can see what kind of video it contains.

I don't have 'MediaInfo.' But I do have 'Properties.' All it says is "Video Clip (.AVI)" Is this the info you want or something else?

Right-click in Windows Explorer.
Or right-click in MPC-HC > Properties > MediaInfo tab
Or right-click in MPC-HC > Properties > MediaInfo tab

I must not be understanding you or doing something wrong. I didn't know what MPC-HC was so I downloaded it. When I tried to open my file, it says:

Re: Can't View Alaris Wee Cam Videos
MPC-HC is also included in the (larger versions of the) codec pack. You are probably using the Basic version, which also doesn't include MediaInfo.
But that error message also contained enough information. You can download the required codec here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/alaris_vgpixel_codec.htm
This is an old codec that is only compatible with 32-bit (x86) players.

Thank you. I did what you described. When I clicked on Install, I got the following error message: "The third party INF does not contain digital signature information." Any other suggestions?

To install it manually:
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows (which is most likely):
1) Copy vgpix32d.dll to c:\windows\syswow64
2) Start the Registry editor (regedit.exe)
3) Navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
4) Create a new String value with name vidc.VGPX and value vgpix32d.dll
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows:
1) Copy vgpix32d.dll to c:\windows\system32
2) Start the Registry editor (regedit.exe)
