MPC x64 Freezes and MPC x32 doesn't
I have a problem with the MPC x64.
The MPC x32 opens normally while the MPC x64 freezes (1 ~ 10 seconds after opened)
My system is Windows 7 x64, then what i want to know is why i'm having this problem with the MPC x64 and not with the MPC x32.
The version of the MPC is 12.7.6 (Tuesday December 27th 2016). I have the same problem with the older version (12.7.5).
Right now i'm using the MPC x32 as i have no problem with it.
If anyone knows what is going on i would appreciate it.

Do you have F-Secure, HitmanPro Alert, or a similar security tool? Those have some compatibility issues (which are fixable by adjusting their settings).
Does the freeze always happens, or just for certain files?

Just Avira Anti-Virus.
And the freeze always happens. Even just opening the MPC alone without movie.

Re: MPC x64 Freezes and MPC x32 doesn't
Another cause could be a damaged file.
1) Uninstall the codec pack, and re-install it fresh.
2) Scan for damaged Windows Files:
Start > Accessories > Command Prompt (right-click on it and select "Run as Administrator")
Type in this command: sfc.exe /scannow
3) Codec Tweak Tool > Generate Log
Copy the log here if it contains any third party codecs/filters. Maybe I can spot something bad. But it is probably not directly codec related, as it already freezes without playing anything.

1) Already did it five times.
2) Everthing it's OK.

Re: MPC x64 Freezes and MPC x32 doesn't
The log looks clean.
Lets try to figure out what is wrong. Download this little tool:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer.aspx
This may be able to give a clue where MPC-HC freezes. Run this tool and then start MPC-HC. Double-click on mpc-hc.exe in Process Explorer to see details.
Here is how it looks for me shortly after starting and after a while:

Re: MPC x64 Freezes and MPC x32 doesn't
It gave the same problem with this program (ProcessExplorer).
I think i discovered what's causing these problems.
It's probably a nasty file named gbpsv.exe. (It's used for Protection System for E-Commerce and Home Banking for some banks in my country)
If something changes i will let you know.
Thank you anyway.

Thanks for the info.
Try this option:
MPC-HC options > Player > Keys > disable "Global Media Keys"

No need for it.
It's solved now. I removed that program and now everything is OK.
Thank you for your help anyway.

Great. This could help others as well who have the same problem.
