mpc be won't startup :( plz help

i have windows 10 x64 and I've been using MPC-BE for a long time because it is my favorite player but it suddenly wont startup anymore so i reinstalled it , nothing , i updated it to MPC-BE.1.5.0.1783 ; sill wont start , the process is created and stay there for like 7 sec but nothing happens, so after resetting my system i found out it stops working after i install flstudio and even when i delete it (flstudio), why ? i need them both ,how can i fix this ?

Usually this kind of problems are caused by security software. For example F-Secure, Hitman Pro, and EMET have had issues sometimes.

i have bitdefender , but i dont think it caused the probleme ,im pretty sure its flstudio ,but even uninstalling it didnt fix the problem

Does it also happen if you just double-click on mpc-be.exe? So without opening any video?

In that case it is most likely not codec related. Have you tried to temporarily disable Bitdefender?

Does MPC-HC have the same problem?

I just found this thread on google since I had the same problem and I've registered here to help other people who might find this.

It has something to do with the ogg vorbis stuff that FL Studio installs. Solution was to go to your Program Folder -> FL Studio 12\System\Installers\VorbisACM\codec and rightclick the vorbisacm.inf and choose install. But it breaks all the demo songs in FL Studio since most of the samples have some kind of copyprotection. But at least I can use MPC-BE again...

Interesting. The vorbis codec is a common cause of MPC-HC/BE crashing, when it is wrongly installed as a 64-bit codec (since the codec is 32-bit).

Codec Tweak Tool > Generate Log
It is listed as a 32-bit codec now, right?

I just used this Codec Tweak Tool and I had both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the vorbis codec installed. I've removed both of them for now and MPC-BE and FL Studio still work.
