NVIDEA ION - Prefered Settings

I have an ASUS EEEPC with an original ION Graphics module plugged into a HDTV for playing movies from a WD drive over a LAN.

I works great most of the time but sometimes I get...

Video & Audio stuttering
Audio out of synch
Premature video "ending" - It stops playing at a point and the timer shows the video has finished?

I know I should get a better pc with a more powerful graphics capability but its annoying that it does work with some files...

Assuning it may be LAN speeds I used a USB3 port with a stick and still get the issue...

Any recommended settings for use with ION?

Since it has a weak processor, you should use DXVA2 (native) hardware acceleration. For all other settings, the defaults should be fine.

Check the CPU usage of the system when your problems occur. If it is very high, then you know the cause of the sync/stuttering issues.

Does that premature ending always happen at the same spot for the same files? Or is it a random thing?

Yes I think an upgrade is in order...

The Premature ending happens at different times in the same movie. I have to close MPC and restart it...

I am not sure what might be the cause of that problem.
