Video won't work, only Audio - K-Lite Codec Pack 12.2.2.0

Hello there,

I was using KLCP 11.2, everything was going fine until I've installed some new adobe cc 2015 applications, the player then was able to play audio but without any video to be seen, although the video works in other applications such as quicktime 7, premiere pro cc 2015 and after effects cc 2015. I tried to play around with some of the settings but with no use. I uninstalled this version and downloaded the most recent version 12.2 and installed it with LAV encoders, still the problem persists. I then uninstalled it and installed it again with ffdshow encoders and still no change.

This issue has happened before with an older version 11 I think but was solved as soon as I installed the newer version 11.2

Note: I've tried this with several .mp4 and .mov H.264 video files, it's all the same

The filter list correctly shows the video decoder and renderer. So everything looks good. When you say that you do not see any video, do you actually mean it shows a black screen? Does the player window resize to the correct dimensions of the video?

It must be some kind of problem with the graphics driver. I have no idea why the Adobe programs cause this.

An interesting test would be to open two instances of Media Player Classic. Open a video in both. If the second one does show video it means there is a problem with the graphics overlay.

MPC opens and scales to the video size and then shows a black screen. I tried opening 2 instances together, it's still the same.

As for the drivers I already updated to the provided drivers a while ago before the problem existed.

MPC-HC options > Playback > Output

Try different video renderer.
