Windows 10 was able to reset .mov

Hello, this morning windows 10 was able to reset.mov files to Movies & TV even though I have installed the latest Codec Pack to resolve these issues. Thought you would like to know. Graig

Only for .mov? Maybe some other program tried to change the file association.

Dont think so Notification came up said it had be reset to Movies and TV. I reinstalled 12.1.5 will watch for it again.

Just now happened on 2nd laptop. Says app changed it but who know what app?

You can also re-apply file associations this way:
Codec Tweak Tool > File Associations

Downloaded 12.2.2 from MajorGeeks there is a virus detection by avast re pack/icaros/32-bit/icarosThumbnailprovider.dll

It is a false positive. Run the Avast update. I think they may have already fixed it.

Installed 12.2.2 today without avast problem, Am I the only one who has trouble with Win10 stealing back file associations? This version is not holding them either. Thanks

Sometimes I can be so dumb, went into Win 10 and reset default apps which had of course been changed by the system when I installed 12.2.2
