Re: New version LAV is worse
Can I download that same file somewhere?
Does it also stutter in full screen? I would expect smooth playback with those CPU usages.
I am using GraphStudioNext to accurately measure performance.

Yes, a little.Does it also stutter in full screen?
So I did.I would expect smooth playback with those CPU usages.
Thank you, I'll give it a try.I am using GraphStudioNext to accurately measure performance.

It plays without stutters here. If you press Ctrl+J then you can see a graph. There is just an occasional small spike here.
The video may not look smooth visually because it is 50 fps and most screens are 60 Hz. This means there for each 5 frames displayed, one is shown twice.

Couldn't manage with GSN64 (0.7.0.430). It's too cool for me. Now when you've got the file I'm serene absolutely. I use 12.2.6 from now on. Thank you for your time.Admin wrote:GraphStudioNext64 does 69,5 fps on this file here.

Re: New version LAV is worse
My CPU is probably a tiny bit faster than yours.
It does 69,5 fps on average when decoding as fast as possible. This is without rendering, so performance will be a bit lower with actual playback. So it is a difficult file.
If you expect to play a lot if these kind of files in the future, then you should consider getting a new graphics card. The newest one have hardware acceleration for HEVC video. If I enable hardware acceleration on my system, then CPU usage drops to 1%

It is unlikely, I use this file only for the KLCP testing. Thank you once more for your attention.Admin wrote:If you expect to play a lot if these kind of files in the future...
