[Solved] MPC-1.7.10.234 Crash
I have KLCP 12.15 Mega + Update 12.1.7 installed on my laptop running Windows 10 x64.
MPC crashes always when i try to set file association from Options -> Player-> Formats -> Association -> Run as administrator
Below info are seen in the Crash window :
Exception : ACCESS VIOLATION
Crashing Module : C:\Program Files (x86)\K-Lite Codec Pack\MPC-HC64\mpc-hc64.exe
Offset : 0x002759B9
Codebase : 0x5D6B0000
The thread tried to read memory at address 0x00001468
Please someone help me to fix this issue

That is a known issue and should get fixed soon:

A workaround is to right-click on MPC-HC and run as administrator.
Since Windows 8, applications are no longer allowed to set themselves as the default. They can only register themselves as capable of handling certain formats. The actual file associations are created through the "Default Programs" settings of Windows.
The K-Lite installer already takes care of registering MPC-HC as a player. This means that you don't have to use the Formats settings in MPC-HC (which does something similar). To change file associations go to: Codec Tweak Tool > File Associations. This opens the "Default Programs" settings of Windows.

Installed latest update 12.1.8 which upgrades MPC-HC to 1.7.10.236 and works fine..
