Haali spliter not working with mp4/ac3 files
Hello,
Recently, my Media Player Classic became unable to play sound from mp4 files with AC3 audio. After many internet searches and configuration checks, I managed to solve the problem by substituting LAV spliter for the Haali spliter which was previously assigned as preferred for the mp4 container. Does anyone has any clue about why Haali spliter stopped working just for those files? I am pretty sure that I have not altered its configuration, but I can try to reconfigure it if someone knows how to. The troubled files were described in the error logs as having multichannel sound (6ch) but mediainfo says they have just two channels. I have already read the playback FAQ, wherein similar problems are described. I have Windows7 but I cannot remember the version of K-lite, which I installed in 2015.

Re: Haali spliter not working with mp4/ac3 files
Update to the latest version of the pack. Use the default LAV Splitter.
Re: Haali spliter not working with mp4/ac3 files
Thanks. I found the post "Haali media splitter problem" with essentially the same problem and solution. Still, the mistery of a splitter suddenly stopping working bothers me.
