MPC-HC small issue

i have a small issue with media player classic when it is minimized in the task bar
it starts playing when i pause a video and minimize it when i open start menu or the windows store sometimes.

full system specs:
antec p280
asus z170-ws
i7 6700k (stock clock)
corsair h100i
16gb corair vengeance 3000mhz kit (overclocked to 3200mhz)
evga gtx 980 reference card (stock)
corsair hx1000i
western digital black 2tb
western digital green 3tb
seagate 3tb
windows 10 pro 64-bit

I suspect it is a bug in Windows 10. It might be sending commands to MPC-HC that are intended for other apps.

Try disabling this setting, maybe it helps:
MPC-HC options > Tweaks > Use enhanced taskbar features
(this enables the small video preview when you hover your mouse over the taskbar)

Another experiment that you can do:
MPC-HC options > Player > Keys > Play/pause
Change App Command from MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE to empty
Change Key from Space to empty.
Do one change at a time, so you can test if the change has any effect on the problem.

didn't know i could disable that, i will try it.
ps. it is not too bothering really but i thought of letting you know about it
