Trying to play a URL fails with blank screen
on Windows Media Player (version 12, in windows 7) using default K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1205_Standard
What happens is basically: File - Open URL... - and i paste the direct link to the video
and here is the result:
It "plays" but there is no video/audio. There is nothing wrong with the URL itself because it plays fine on VLC (but i hate VLC for streaming URL's as it buffers and stops etc very unreliable)
For a long time WMP has been working fine for http dont know what happened now

Can you copy that URL here? Then I can try it myself.

Re: Trying to play a URL fails with blank screen
I too get a black screen with WMP. I am not sure why yet. It loads the correct filters. I will investigate further.
Playback works great with MPC-HC.

Re: Trying to play a URL fails with blank screen
I have asked one of the developers if he knows what is wrong.
