Hello everybody

I downloaded klite-mega-codec pack and installed it on windows 7 professionnal 64 bit.

The integrated video player can gracefully play IV50 video

but the codec seems unrecognized by windows media player.

Totally impossible to read iv50 video, be it with the 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows media player

when I list windows codec with msinfo32.exe, I can't seem to find the appropriate codec ...

I read the FAQ and the forum, but couldn't find an answer

output of msinfo32.exe (if of any use)

Windows contains a codec for IV50 (Intel Indeo 5), but it is disabled by default.

The codec pack uses LAV Video decoder for decoding this video format. WMP successfully uses that decoder here for the IV50 files that I have. But WMP might behave a bit differently depending on the file. A difference between Media Player Classic and WMP is that the first uses LAV Splitter by default for AVI files, while WMP uses Microsoft's own AVI Splitter by default.

Solution #1:
Codec Tweak Tool > ACM/VFW (x86) > enable Indeo 5

Solution #2:
Codec Tweak Tool > Preferred Splitters > AVI > select LAV Splitter

Could you perhaps upload that file for me? Then I can investigate why it didn't play with default settings.
You can upload to http://www.sendspace.com or a similar file hosting site.
