"FLASH:srcnotfound" error in Firefox but not Chrome

When I try to play the video at the URL above with my usual Firefox profile I get a black screen with a grey X in the center and "FLASH:srcnotfound" in white at the bottom. I tried playing the video in Chrome and it played with no problem. I try playing it in a Firefox Default Firefox Profile with no addons, extensions or changes to the Options, just straight vanilla, and I get the same error message. Tried disabling anti-virus  and firewall, clearing cache and restarting FF and XP various times. Tried enabling and disabling FF Shockwave plugin. Posted same question to Mozillazine forum. One other XP and FF user claimed to be able to play the video on Firefox. Another could not.

That video file seems to be unavailable. So the error message is correct. There is nothing wrong at your end.

I tried a couple of other movies, and those are all working fine.

It is available when I use Chrome to access the same file, as I mentioned in my original post, but not available when I use Firefox. Might I ask what browser you used, and which OS? I have read that XP, my OS, cannot play flash videos on Twitter. I found out trying to play one, but the error message is different: "This browser does not support video playback." The same video plays on Chrome, however.

At any rate, because I can play the video on Chrome, it IS available... just not on Firefox, it would seem, at least for me. And as I mentioned in my original post, "one other XP and FF user claimed to be able to play the video on Firefox." Very puzzling puzzle...

The video is loaded from a different location when using Flash on that page, compared to HTML5. The server used by the Flash version is simply slow and (sometimes) unresponsive. I can reproduce the problem in Firefox on Windows 7 if I disable the HTML5 support in Firefox. The problem is with the website, not something you can fix.
