Subtitles not working after quick update
Hello
I had K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 11.6.5, after preforming quick update to recent version 11.8.0, external subtitles stopped working, wont show no mater what I do but mpc-hc is telling me they are loaded.
When I download MPC-HC 1.7.10.28 what is previous version, subtitles are working again. Do someone have similar issue with newest version 1.7.10.40 implemented inside MCP 11.8.0?
add.
After some further testing it looks like on Xvid and mpc-hc 1.7.10.28 subtitles are ugly, blury, last good working codeks for me are 11.6.5 don't know what was changed in newest release but subtitles after that doesn't work like they used to for me.
add2.
Changing maximum subtitles resolution from video to desktop fixed it. If smth. changes I will let you know, otherwise, its fixed.

Can you copy this information here?
Codec Tweak Tool > Generate Log > System Information
Normally desktop resolution is used by default. It should only set video resolution if the CPU is relatively slow. Maybe the performance heuristic is not correct for your CPU.

All work just fine on 11.7.5, on version 11.8.0 and 11.8.2 doesn't. On 11.8.2 subtitles are loaded in subtitle track but they are not shown at all or only first line of them are visible all the time like they hang or something.

Re: Subtitles not working after quick update
I suspect that it is a bug in madVR. Can you test if it works correctly with a different video renderer? (try EVR-CP)
Could you export your madVR settings and upload them somewhere for me? For example http://www.sendspace.com
Then I can try to reproduce the problem. It does not happen here with default settings.
Settings are stored in the Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\madshi\madVR

Re: Subtitles not working after quick update
I updated codecs again to newest version, I use EVR-CP, subtitles doesn't work also in this mode, I even tried to set them to VSfilter/DirectVobSub still no luck.

I set it, DirectVobSub now loads on tray but subtitles are still not present.
I believe that on your system, newest klcp 11.8.0 works normally with subtitles?
I downloaded previous version of MPC-HC 1.7.10.28, replaced KLCP one with them, and it works fine, maybe its something with MPC-HC 11.7.10.40.

Re: Subtitles not working after quick update
Yes, it is working here.
Can you test with MPC-HC 11.7.10.40 from here:
https://nightly.mpc-hc.org/
Use internal subtitle renderer to test MPC-HC itself. To test VSFilter, grab the standalone filters file to get vsfilter.dll.
Just to be clean, the problem only happens with external subtitles, right? Embedded ones are working? Have you tried multiple external files, just so we can rule out an issue with a specific file? Does it happen with both SRT and IDX/SUB (= vobsub) type subtitles?
Thanks for testing. I hope you don't mind.

Re: Subtitles not working after quick update
Very strange thing I discovered, it looks like .srt works fine in newest version and the one that didn't works are subtitles with .txt, but after some more testing it looks like subtitles with .txt and {}{} ( I believe they are called mDVD format ) doesn't work and .txt and [][] (MPL2) works. So it looks like its not about extension subtitles use but format they are using. So its a bug with mDVD format subs use, at last it look like that for me now.
Let me know if You can reproduce the issue now.
