How to decode HEVC mkv video in WMP 11

As the title says, I'm trying to play mkv files and the video will not display. MediaInfo lists the First video stream as: "720*576 (4:3), at 25,000 fps, HEVC (PAL), (Main@L3@Main)" Is it possible to configure K-lite to be able to play this file in WMP 11 and how? Thanks in advance for any help.

HEVC should work out-of-the-box. You must use LAV Splitter because Haali does not support HEVC.
