No media files will play any longer

EDIT: Disregard. Fixed the problem.

Running Vista, Windows Media Player 11. I had an issue trying to get the video to play on mkv files. I tried tinkering around and boogered everything up.  I suspect it is something with the audio decoding because some video files will be playing behind the error popup in WMP but no audio.  Even my music files won't play anymore. I am most grateful for any help you provide me.  Thanks.

Codec Tweak Tool > Fixes > enable everything

Thanks.  That was the first thing I tried.  I should have mentioned that in my OP.  That had no effect.
