v6.2b video not resizing correctly & data collecting?
6.1 was fine if I recall but once I updated to 6.2, the shows I watch now have a black box around the vid itself and won't fit in maximized window or fullscreen. Keeps it at that 100% zoom no matter what window I set it as. I usually have it in auto-fit and even that doesn't work.
Update: Fixed it vid Video Frame -> Normal Size to Stretch to Window. Not sure if it was like this before but I know something isn't right.

The default value is (and always has been) "Touch window from inside". I am not sure how it got changed in your case. The installer does not change that setting.
Re: v6.2b video not resizing correctly & data collecting?
I'm not sure either... all I did was do a quick update from 11.55 (default values) to 11.61-2 beta. Well in any case, I'll reinstall direct to 11.63b and see how it goes.
Why does your installers now try to connect to google and a few other sites? I've never ever had to reboot either before for installing/reinstalling the codec pack but it seems to be the case now.

It collects some anonymous telemetry about installs and errors/anomalies.
Reboots are actually supposed to be less frequently needed with the new versions. Did it happen just once, or is it reproducible at each install/update?

Re: v6.2b video not resizing correctly & data collecting?
Had to edit the posts above to correct the versions I had installed. 11.55 (default) then quick upgraded to 11.61b -> 11.62b. So the issue happened between those 2 versions since I don't recall changing anything of the settings. Uninstalling 11.62b asked me to reboot which I did before reinstalling with 11.63b. I found there to be little to no reboot requests for past versions before but yes, the instance is rare. 11.63b has everything back to normal.
I don't like this so-called telemetry collecting so I blocked them. Noticed your installer now includes 2 adware near the end of the installation process as well (excluding the fact that you can decline). That and it also modifies the registry now for these 'autoplay' handlers for mpc.
As much as I love using your codec, it seems to be making a turn for the worse in a intrusive manner than just installing the codecs alone. I know this has been going on for the past versions as well but I didn't really raise a question of it until now.

What is wrong with the autoplay handlers? Those have not changed in a long time. All they do is add MPC-HC as a choice in the AutoPlay dialogs. They don't set anything as a default.
Offers are only shown at fresh installs. You can decline them automatically with this registry key:

Nothing is wrong with them. Just my HIPS never complained about it before (no pop-ups). Maybe it's to do with my AV but I will take it up with them. Thanks for the regedit tweak.

Re: v6.2b video not resizing correctly & data collecting?
Writing the AutoPlay keys is a step that is skipped when during a quick upgrade. So that could be a reason why HIPS did not prompt for your previous updates. Usually it should also learn/remember your answers.
