VOB files play jerky every few secs!
I recently had to reformat my computer. After I reinstalled Windows (Vista Ultimate 64-bit), my VOB files are not playing properly. They sorta play jittery or jerky every few seconds. It's like 2 seconds smooth, 3 seconds jerky, and so on. It seems as if the problem only happens to VOB/MPEG2 files.
I know I've had similar problems in the past after reformatting, but I have no idea how I solved it, I am almost positive it was fixed by changing some setting from within MPC-HC.
I have installed the latest drivers for my video card (GeForce GT 620) directly from NVIDIA's website.
Before I reformatted my videos were playing flawlessly.
Please, can someone help me? Any suggestions what I could try?

Re: VOB files play jerky every few secs!
You could try enabling Yadif deinterlacing in LAV Video decoder.
Or a different video renderer in MPC-HC (options>playback>output).

First of all, thank you for replying and trying to help.
Now, I tried enabling Yadif deinterlacing but it didn't seem to improve the problem any at all.
I also tried all of the available video renderers, which did not help either, but some (for example Haali Video Renderer) are listed as "unavailable" and can't be selected. Do you know why that is?

Re: VOB files play jerky every few secs!
If Haali and MadVR are unavailable it means the codec pack installer failed to detect if your video card supports PixelShaders. That usually happens because of a driver error. Try re-installing the pack.

Re: VOB files play jerky every few secs!
I reinstalled the pack (MEGA), but they are still not clickable... Should I reinstall one of the smaller packs, or that wouldn't have anything to do with the problem? Here is the log file (I left the default boxes checked/unchecked, if I need to redo the log file with specific boxes checked/unchecked please let me know which ones and I will generate the log file again). PS: thanks for trying to help me figure this out!

Re: VOB files play jerky every few secs!
nvidia control panel > video image settings > inverse telecine (IVTC)
Changing that option may fix the stuttering.
You can play a DVD (with menus) by opening the video_ts.ifo file. The Navigate menu in MPC-HC provides quick access to the various chapters/titles on the DVD.
