mkv problems
I started using k lite about a year ago. had problems a first but soon had things rolling. as of lately mkv files became unrecognizable by my streaming players. those being a Yamaha blue-ray and xbox one. i have always used wmp for dlna and as long as high profile was set to 4.0 or lower i had no problem. if higher i would use media coder to re-code to 4.0. after two weeks of fiddling i have had no success getting any of my streaming players to recognize mkv. wmp play the files fine but i do not have the play to option to show up on my files within wmp any more. help please.

Re: mkv problems
The best solution would be to use a different DLNA server.
There are several excellent free ones available. For example Serviio and Universal Media Server. These also have to ability to automatically transcode (= convert in real-time) your files to a format that is compatible with the Xbox (and other devices). That means you would no longer have to convert things manually.
