Problem Playing .avi files in MPC [Windows 7]
.mp4 and all other files working fine but when i play .avi videos i get a half black screen and half screen with video with grey colors i tried fixing this using this
You can fix it using: Codec Tweak Tool -> Fixes -> Re-register base DirectShow filters Or manually from an administrator command prompt with this command: regsvr32 quartz.dll wrote:

Start by updating MPC-HC. You currently have a very old version.
Can you copy this information here?
Codec Tweak Tool > Generate Log > System Information
Your graphics card probably doesn't handle certain colorspaces correctly. Most likely NV12 and/or YV12. You can disable those formats in the settings of the video decoder.

Here you can disable YV12/NV12:
Start > Programs > K-Lite Codec Pack > Configuration > LAV Video Decoder
Updating your graphics driver might fix it too. You can get the latest version here:

Can you are try the newer driver? Then you can maybe re-enable YV12 and NV12.
