[fixed in 11.2.3] K-Lite Codec Pack Full 11.2.1 (11.2.0) issue on Windows 8.1 x64
If I install K-Lite Codec Pack 11.2.1 (Full) and disable the internal subtitles in MPC-HC x64 (so directvobsub is used) the subtitles are loaded but whenever I would press the STOP button in MPC-HC x64 (or . which functions as stop hotkey) it stops responding (MPC-HC x64) and must be closed by task manager. As far as I have noticed this only occurs in HiP10 encoded video.
I'm now back on 11.1.8 and this issue does not occur.
What I've tried to do to fix this issue is using the latest DirectVobSub in K-Lite (replacing the directvobsub dll's) but this does not seem to work. Neither does downgrading MPC-HC x64 in the K-Lite Codec seem to work. So I suppose it is an issue with either the updated LAV or something else though it is hard to find out what (as between 11.1.8 and 11.2.1 almost all filters in K-Lite are updated). Using the internal subtitle loader also fixes the problem but I prefer DirectVobSub over the internal subtitle loader of MPC-HC x64.
It's not that big of an issue and I'll try to use 1.2.x again if DirectVobSub and MPC-HC x64 get updated (in an update pack) in the hope this weird bug get fixed.

I assume you are using xy-VSFilter? Open the settings of LAV Video decoder and disable P010 output.
Re: [fixed in 11.2.3] K-Lite Codec Pack Full 11.2.1 (11.2.0) issue on Windows 8.1 x64
I'm using the normal VSFilter (as that's the default that is given in K-Lite Codec Pack Full -> Advanced Profile).
Installed 11.2.1 again (after redownloading in case of corrupted installer). And the problem still returns after unchecking P010 output of Lav Video decoder.
I actually rechecked if it is only HiP10 but apperantly all my video's (99% anime) that use the VSfilter seem to freeze when pressing the stop button/hotkey/media key.
Switching back to 11.1.8 again and will see if some next version fixes it (trying updates till like 11.2.5 if it does not work by than I'll wait till 11.3.x ). I had this a few versions back (cannot remember when) but it eventually fixed itself.
Generated Log since this should be in support my bad.

Re: [fixed in 11.2.3] K-Lite Codec Pack Full 11.2.1 (11.2.0) issue on Windows 8.1 x64
Any particular reason why you prefer using VSFilter instead of the internal renderer?
I suspect the problem is in MPC-HC. There were some improvements today that might also solve your problem. So please test the next version when it becomes available, and let me know if the problem is fixed or not.
Check if the problem also happens if you use a different video renderer.
Options > Playback > Output
Try "Enhanced Video Renderer" (the standard one) and "Video Mixing Renderer 7 (windowed). Those are standard renderers from Windows.
I suspect the problem is in MPC-HC. There were some improvements today that might also solve your problem. So please test the next version when it becomes available, and let me know if the problem is fixed or not.
Check if the problem also happens if you use a different video renderer.

Re: [fixed in 11.2.3] K-Lite Codec Pack Full 11.2.1 (11.2.0) issue on Windows 8.1 x64
The only reason I prefer using VSFilter is because it performed better on karaoke in anime I watch (the internal rederer has/had the problem of sometimes showing the karaoke effects double or blinking subtitles on every karaoke effect).
I do notice that the internal renderer for MPC has improved over time so it might do the karaoke perfectly now (tough it will never take away the tought that VSFilter performs better for it).
I will try the next version when it comes out and see if it fixes the problem.
Edit:
As a test I replaced had replaced the MPC-HC x64 (.exe, dll and shaders) version with the latest nightly but unfortunatly the stop problem still exists than. So I am for now just patiently waiting for the next K-Lite version.

The karaoke display problems might already be solved. If not, this setting should solve it:
Options > Subtitles > Sub picture to buffer = 0
To improve performance you could lower the texture resolution to "video". But I don't think that is needed in your case.
Have you tried with a different video renderer? It would be interesting to know if the video renderer is relevant to the problem.

Fixed in 11.2.3 (something in LAV filters apperantly as that was the only filter I had not manually replaced).

Actually, it was most likely fixed in MPC-HC. There were some issues in the video renderer that have been solved.

If that were true the problem would have stopped once I placed the latest nightly MPC-HC x64 in K-Lite 11.2.1 folder (as I said 2 posts ago in the edit).
As I by than had already manually tossed the DirectVobSub (VSFilter.dll and VSFilterx64.dll) and the latest the latest MPC-HC x64 (from https://nightly.mpc-hc.org/) the problem should have stopped.
The only thing that changed in the K-Lite Update 11.2.3 as opposed to manually placing the DirectVobSub (VSfilter.dll's) and MPC-HC x64 in the 11.2.1 folder is the update of the LAV filters (which I had not done on 11.2.1 as I was gone all weekend) and Icaros (which is just for thumbnail creation and descriptions in explorer and should not have anything to do with playability of video's).
I cannot prove this however as I already deleted the K-Lite Update 11.2.1 as it works now with 11.2.3. I can at least say the problem does not exist anymore (for me as I doubt a lot of members use the normal VSFilter as apposed to the internal subtitle renderer). Thanks for the update of K-Lite.

It contains an additional fix that is not yet included in the latest nightly.
