MPC-HC going into background processes
Not sure if this is a problem with K-Lite Codec Pack 11.2.0 or 11.2.1, since I went to 11.2.1 update immediately after installing 11.2.0
The problem goes as such:
Watch video that opens up MPC-HC, close MPC-HC, the MPC process along with mad* hcc goes into background processes and does not close until you end task in task manager. LAV and VS filters stay open in notification tray probably because MPC isn't considered closed yet.
In my most previous K-L Codec Pack (11.6.x or something, forgot the exact version) , this was not a problem. Closing MPC would end all processes related to it.
Would this be something related to a setting inside MPC, or a bug?
OS: Windows 8.1

Re: MPC-HC going into background processes
It is caused by madVR.
You could try with this version:
http://madshi.net/madVR.zip
Simply replace the files from the pack.

Unfortunately, with that version, everything is still going into background processes.
Could it possibly be the actual MPC version itself?
Since everything closes once I end task for it, including madVR

Yes, I am pretty sure. You can easily test by selecting a different renderer in the options.
Also try resetting the madVR settings (with Codec Tweak Tool). It may happen only with specific settings, such as D3D11 mode. If you have steps to reproduce the problem, then madshi can fix it.
