unplayable recorded digital HD TV

Hello there, this is David from south America.

I have a satelital receiver hd which records to .mts file format, i can play, rewind, pause, etc but only in the receiver thtat recorded it, when i try to play the file in windows or any operating system, it's totally unplayable.

So how can i know which is the required codec, or how do i unlock the file so i can play it outside?

The file seems to have encrypted content. It is not playable outside of the receiver. Maybe tools exist to decrypt it, but I don't know any.
