Blu-Ray 3D Support? Empty Blu-Ray 3D Support?

Post by 0x00000001 Wed May 06, 2015 5:38 pm

Opening a Blu-ray disc immediatelly starts a video. No menus, no chance to pick a 3D version of the video. Will the Blu-ray disc support, and Blu-ray 3D support ever be added, or is it something you cannot do because of the legal restrictions? I see other free players allowing to playback Blu-ray 3D discs with menus, and full 3D support with no problems, so what's with the Codec Guide, and k-lite codec? What is slowing you down on this one?

Thanks!

Blu-Ray 3D Support? Empty Re: Blu-Ray 3D Support?

MPC-HC simply does not support it yet. An open source navigation filter for handling Blu-ray menus is in development (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=164314). I expect that MPC-HC will one day be able to use that. It requires several modifications to MPC-HC, for example to its video renderers, so I don't expect it to happen very soon. The developers of MPC-HC are quite busy. 3D support will probably take even longer.
