Am running "W8.1 32bit" "K-Lite mega v11.1.2" doesn't show some cover arts, the audio format is ".m4a".

Re: Cover arts!!!
Thumbnails for .m4a file are currently handled by Windows itself.
Here is a Registry tweak to use Icaros instead:

Re: Cover arts!!!
WMP uses different method for extracting coverart.
Can you upload a file that does not show a cover in MPC? Then I can be fixed.

Re: Cover arts!!!
That functionality doe snot belong in a codec pack.
For PDF thumbnails use this:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/enable-pdf-thumbnail-preview-windows-explorer.html

Re: Cover arts!!!
This checkbox is hidden by default in the PDF. You must enter this key in the registry to enable it:
https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Wizard/WizardDC/othersettings.html#disable-thumbnails-in-windows-explorer
Even so, this key has no effect under Windows 10.

Re: Cover arts!!!
It only works with 32-bit Windows (with recent versions of Adobe reader):

SumatraPDF has a thumbnail preview option.

Re: Cover arts!!!
Yes, you're right. About SumatraPDF, it does this, but seems to me a long time outdated. For those who don't want to abandon AcrobatReader, there is a little trick to display thumbnails: open AcrobatReader, go to open > file, set the display dialog in thumbnail view mode and wait for all to load. Then go to the folder and see that the thumbnails now appear, at least until the next cache cleanup or system startup. It's an annoying output, but it's there as long as Adobe does not fix it.

Re: Cover arts!!!
This command line *may* work to open an instance of 32-bit Explorer:
%Systemroot%\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate
SumatraPDF isn't outdated. It just has a simple interface.

Re: Cover arts!!!
Maybe a year and a half without updates is not much for a PDF reader, anyway it's a great job, I hopefully in the future it can also edit pdf docs.
