Weird stream issue
Hi people, I have a weird issue when streaming from a specific site on my computer.
I used to think it was specific to an AMD video card but I switched to nVidia only to find the issue is still there, also I have another computer that doesn't have the issue.
The specifics are that playback is at 10 FPS no matter what version of flash player or browser I use for some DRM streams. I also installed BlueStacks (Android emulator) and installed the app of the site and in this case playback goes at double speed both video and audio.
The site is foxplay.com but I don't think it can be accessed from abroad if it could help at all.

Re: Weird stream issue
Uninstalled audio driver and allowed Windows to install it's default and no changes.

Re: Weird stream issue
It is better to get the driver directly from the website of the hardware manufacturer.
If you need help finding the latest driver, then give me your hardware details.

Re: Weird stream issue
Hey, after Windows automatically installed the default ones I installed the latest from Realtek. But it's not the audio, I can manually disable all audio devices and the issue is still present, I uninstall video card drivers and let Windows load the default VGA and the issue is still there. I boot Windows in safe mode and the issue is still there, what can it be? It's not hardware, when it started happening I hadn't changed anything in months.

Re: Weird stream issue
Maybe it is the fault of the website. Ask them if they know what could be wrong. There may have been others with similar problems.
Flash does not use any external components (such as codecs), so you don't have to search in that direction.

Re: Weird stream issue
I found a test DRM stream.
1] open this website: http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/SVP/SampleVideoPlayer_FP.html
2] Use this url as input: http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/anonymous.f4v
3] Press play
Re: Weird stream issue
That plays flawlessly.
If flash does all the processing internally then what can be the difference between my two computers where in one works perfect and in the other it doesn't?

Re: Weird stream issue
I don't know.
It must be something low level, since your Android emulator also has problems.

Can you point me at something? I'm an advanced user so don't hold back.

Re: Weird stream issue
You already tried different drivers. I don't know what else could be a cause of the problem.
