Encode function in LAV audio?

Hi, is there a function like in ffdshow audio "AC3 (S/PDIF encode mode)"? My speakers support DTS and AC3, most of my videos have AAC included, but I like to have 5.1 digital output through S/PDIF. Is it also possible in LAV audio or should I stay with ffdshow audio?

LAV does not have an encode option. Only ffdshow and AC3Filter have an encode function. You could use one of those for AAC and keep LAV for other audio formats.
