HDTV.x264-ASAP

How do you get Klite Mega to play this file? I have tried version 11 and in windows media player - neither will work and I really don't want to spend the time converting - I get all my media from Eztv.ch

HDTV means the video was ripped from a HDYV source.
x264 means it was encoded using x264, which means it is H.264 video.
ASAP is the name of the release group.

The file is likely a .mkv or an .mp4 files, both of which are supported by the codec pack.

If the file does not play, it could mean you downloaded a fake file. What kind of error does Media Player Classic give?

Ok, here is a head scratcher ???

The above file that was bad was not able to be played in K-Lite Media Player 11.0.1 Mega but when I downgraded to K-Lite Media Player 10.0.0 full the file played fine like there was nothing wrong:

Very strange. Both contain the exact same version of MediaInfo.

Does everything play again now?

I suggest you scan your harddrive for errors. Do you have any problems with other programs being unstable or acting stangely? If so, I would also recommend running a tool to test your computer's RAM for errors.

Yes everything plays fine, it seams when I upgraded to 11.0.1 some of the codec got corrupted, but now that I am using 10.0.0 full everything plays fine.

I am using:Amd A6-5400k Apu with Radeon Graphics 4.09Ghz with 4gigs of ram

I highly doubt it was because of the update. That doesn't touch MediaInfo or break anything else. Other programs such as converters often mess with the codecs, so that could be a cause. Re-installing the pack fixes such problems.

11.0.2 is available.

I have downloaded and reinstall and updated 11.0.2 from http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm

Time and Time again and it still does the same thing with the video, So for right not I am going to stick with 10.0.0 full - Thanks for all your help with this problem.

Can you post this information? Maybe I can find the cause of the problem.
