I cannot set/select audio language, because... Empty I cannot set/select audio language, because...

Post by DaiOni Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:10 pm

Several of my specific files have the following data at the audio selection:
[A: ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 448 kb/s [default]] ~ "ENGLISH" - Primary
[A: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s] ~ "JAPANESE" - Preferred

I have the lateset K-Lite Codec Pack Version 11.0.0 Mega ~ 36.2 MB ~ February 18th 2015 installed.
Is there a setting or or a way to change the language to the preferred.

Thank You for your answer in advance!

You can configure your preferred languages during installation of the codec pack.

You can also do it manually right now. Open the settings of LAV Splitter. There you can set the preferred audio language. For Japanese you should use the 3-letter code jpn.

I am aware of the language code and despite this, the audio starts on english. Also, I have set it to japanese, during the installation. Is there anything else I can do/or tell about the problem?

Can you tell me where I can download that file? Then I can test it.

You can try adding jap as well. Maybe the file uses a non-standard language code.

I have downloaded the first episode. The audio streams do not have a language tag, so automatic selection based on language is not possible for these files, since the audio languages are unknown.

However, the second (Japansese) audio track is set as the default in the file. You mentioned the opposite in your first message. Are you sure you have the same file?

This is the MediaInfo output:

Okay, here's the thing. At the download site there are two torrents with identical size and content:

http://animetorrents.me/torrent-details.php?torid=2280
http://animetorrents.me/torrent-details.php?torid=4660

I HAVE downloaded the "4660", since the "2280" I posted to you has 5 picture file in it.
I have downloaded the first file from the "2280" today and it had Japanese audio.
Since the two torrents are identical in size, who could have thought it would make a difference.

Anyway I have to download 97 files and dispose another 98. Mad

Thank You for your time and trouble. lol!

You don't have to re-download the files. You can change the active audio track during playback through: Menu > Play > Audio, or by pressing A once.
