what does "information" option do? see the picture:

It shows additional information about the file at the bottom of the player, when such information is available. For example when you play a .mp3 file it can show artist and song title.

what about navigation ( ctrl+9) ?

Navigation is for DVD menus.
Debug shader is related to the pixel shader functionality. Options > Player > Shaders.
There is no need to try to understand every single option in MPC-HC. There are many options that you don't need. Just enjoy playback!
