I cannot find the program shortcut
Hello, I just installed today the latest version for the program (K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1035_Standard & klcp_update_1038_20140319), to the this Version 10.9.5 Basic ~ 11.3 MB ~ January 14th 2015 (K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1095_Basic & klcp_update_1098_20150126).
The problem is that I am not able to find any program to run since I just get the folders without the application shortcuts in my desk, program file not the Windows start button.
I tried to uninstall & install both programs several times without success. I don't know what to do, where nor how to get the latest version working properly on my PC.

Re: I cannot find the program shortcut
The shortcuts are created in:
Start > All Programs > K-Lite Codec Pack
But you can just double-click on a video file to launch the player.

Re: I cannot find the program shortcut
The Basic version does not include any player, so it is normal that Windows Media Player is used. If you want to use MPC-HC, then you need the Standard version of the pack.
Shortcuts are created in the location I mentioned. The only case in which they are not created is when you enabled the option in the installer to not create a Start menu entry, an option which isn't even visible unless you chose to do an "advanced" install.

Re: I cannot find the program shortcut
Hello, thank you for the explanation about the difference in the contents for the Basic & the Standard version for the packs.
Also, I verified the shortcuts creation. Thank you very much.
