Auto enable embedded subtitles issue
Hello, I'm using MPC-HC with ffdshow video decoder, and am trying to get embedded subtitles from .mkv files to auto load. I figured out how to auto-enable subtitles by default, but I believe there is something a bit weird with these .mkv encodes, as there are two subtitle options:
By default No subtitles is always selected and I have to manually click English every time.
To be clear, I've gone into the ffdshow options and enabled subtitles, the" Embedded subtitles" option under Subtitle sources is enabled, and the "Give embedded priority over subtitle files" is also enabled.
thanks for any input

Re: Auto enable embedded subtitles issue
MPC-HC has an internal subtitle renderer, which is used by default. So you don't need ffdshow for subtitles. I will assume that you are deliberately using ffdshow's subtitle functionality.
The splitter controls which subtitles are selected by default. There are options in the codec pack installer for configuring your preferred languages. By default it won't display English subtitles if it thinks your native language is English. But there is an option to display them.
You can make it always select the English subtitle by adjusting the settings in LAV Splitter. Change the subtitle value to:

Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure that out for like, a month!
