AC3 plug in for Vegas
Hi,
Is there any Plug-In exist ( free or charged )
to open Video ts with AC3 Sound in Vegas? (version 12 or newer)
Why does not exist anything?
Another way could be to remux the file:
But audio and video together (to avoid audio delay-problems in case of very long files - 3 hours for example).
And with no new-encoding of the video part to avoid lost of quality.
thanks, seifenchef

Re: AC3 plug in for Vegas
Does Vegas show any kind of error?
I know it uses QuickTime for certain file formats. For AVI files it uses ACM codecs, so AC3ACM (included in mega pack) should work in that case. I don't know how it handles MPEG-TS stuff.

Re: AC3 plug in for Vegas
Hi Admin,
a.) If I import an complete MPEG-TS with AC3-sound there is no error-message, Vegas only crash and freeze completely.
b.) If I do demux before, I can import the videopart, and if I try to import the AC3-audio I get the message: Vegas cannot open this file.
c.) if I change the audio in wave or mp3 etc etc it works, but I have no way found without synchro-problems.
in lowest case it is an time delay of about 4 pictures per hour.....
regards seifenchef
